Celene Olguin

Associate

Celene T. Olguin is an associate attorney at Native Law Group. Her practice focuses on federal Indian law, strengthening Tribal governance, General counsel services, developing Tribal enterprises, legislation and code drafting, and appellate advocacy. She first joined the firm in May 2024 as a law clerk and was promoted to an associate attorney following her admission to the Colorado Bar in 2025.

Celene received her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School in May 2025, graduating with Honors Certification in American Indian Law. During law school, she developed a strong foundation in federal Indian law and Tribal advocacy through her academic work and clinical practice. As a student attorney in the American Indian Law Clinic, she led capacity-building sessions, conducted outreach to Native communities on voting and election law, collaborated with a Native-led nonprofit, and assisted individual Tribal members through client intake and by authoring administrative complaints.

Celene was an active member of the Native American Law Students Association (“NALSA”), where she received the Outstanding NALSA Student Award. She also served as an Articles Editor for the University of Colorado Law Review, tutored first-year law students in Civil Procedure and Property, participated in Moot Court, and was a member of the Latin American Law Students Association.

Prior to joining the Firm, she completed a judicial externship with Colorado’s 18th Judicial District under the Honorable Judge Ben Leutwyler, where she worked on complex civil matters including landlord-tenant and corporate disputes. She also served as a research assistant for the William A. Wise Law Library and previously interned at a personal injury law firm, assisting with various stages of litigation, including drafting complaints and motions.
