Patterson Earnhart Real Bird & Wilson LLP is pleased to announce that Attorney Jason Decker was selected to serve on the Mitchell Hamline School of Law Native American Law and Sovereignty Institute (NALS) Advisory Board. The seven-member Advisory Board will advise the NALS Institute on various matters, including strategic planning, recruitment and retention of Native American law students, and NALS curriculum and conference development.
The NALS institute offers an 18-credit certificate in Native American Law, provides scholarships to Native American law students, and allows law students to attend law school either in-person or through the school’s blended on-campus and online learning option.
Jason is a member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and joined Native Law Group in April 2022. Jason graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2017. While at Mitchell Hamline, he served as the Managing Editor of the Law Review and as chapter president of the Native American Law Student Association. Jason is excited about this opportunity to serve his alma mater.
