Jan has worked in law firms her entire professional career, beginning as a file clerk for sole practitioners while still attending high school in Florida. She worked her way up to legal assistant, and she has never looked to any other career for the satisfaction she finds in the legal field.
She moved to Colorado in the early 1980s, and she has experience with civil litigation, toxic exposure, transportation, water, and environmental law. She enjoys litigation and the ever-changing tasks involved with supporting attorneys. Jan has worked for firms ranging in size from sole practitioners to firms employing more than 700 attorneys; she is appreciative of the opportunity to work with Native Law Group, adding federal Indian law to her skill set.
Jan enjoys living in Thornton, gardening, reading, spending time with her sons and grandchildren, and sewing. She loves the mountains and seeing as many beautiful places in Colorado as she can. She is caretaker to one spoiled cat, and she borrows horses from her daughter-in-law at every opportunity.
