On November 15, 2021, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act into law. The Act provides about $13 billion in infrastructure investments for tribal communities.
The White House has just released The Guidebook to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law for State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial Governments, and Other Parties to promote coordination and transparency. It lists all funding available under the law and provides program information.
Implementation Coordinator, Mitch Landrieu, says that close coordination with state, Tribal, and local leaders will be fundamental to the successful delivery of the infrastructure programs. The guidebook directs leaders to know what to apply for, whom to contact, and how to get ready to build.
The contents of the guidebook are a “roadmap” to funding under the law for these key infrastructure areas:
- Transportation
- Climate, Energy, and the Environment
- Broadband
- And Other Programs
The guidebook to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law is available here.
