Patterson Real Bird & Rasmussen LLP is pleased to welcome Associate Attorney Charlotte Collingwood to the firm’s Louisville, Colorado office.
Charlotte joins the firm after serving as a law clerk for Colorado’s Eighth Judicial District in Fort Collins, where she worked on a wide variety of civil and domestic relations matters. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School in May 2024.
During law school, Charlotte served as a Research Assistant to Professor Charles Wilkinson, contributing extensively to his book Treaty Justice: The Northwest Tribes, the Boldt Decision, and the Recognition of Fishing Rights. She also gained valuable experience as a summer law clerk with the Native American Rights Fund, where she supported Tribal clients in matters involving intellectual property law, land use, international law, and Native American voting rights.
Charlotte’s legal experience also includes internships with the U.S. Department of the Interior, Rocky Mountain Region Office of the Solicitor, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Regional Counsel, where she developed experience across a broad range of legal and regulatory issues affecting Tribal Nations and public lands.
Her strong background in Federal Indian law, public service, and judicial practice makes Charlotte a valuable addition to the Native Law Group team.
