Patterson Earnhart Real Bird & Wilson LLP announced today that U.S. News & World Report publication Best Lawyers will include three Patterson Earnhart Real Bird & Wilson LLP attorneys in its 28th edition of “Best Lawyers in America” and one of its senior associates in the 2022 edition of “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.” All four are recognized in the practice area of Native American Law and are based at Native Law Group’s Colorado office in Louisville.

Attorney Mitch Holditch, pictured here, is featured in the 2022 edition of “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.” Holditch has several years’ experience representing tribal governments and other tribal entities; his practice areas include federal Indian law, Indian water rights, transactional law, energy mineral development, real estate development, tribal governance and nation building, civil litigation, and intellectual property.

“Mitch is dedicated to promoting and advocating for tribal sovereignty, and as a senior associate, he is a tremendous asset to our clients,” said partner Thomasina Real Bird. “We’re proud of his accomplishments.”

Real Bird joins partners Jeremy J. Patterson and Jeffrey S. Rasmussen in the 28th edition of “Best Lawyers in America.” Patterson reached a significant milestone with the 2022 edition, as he has earned this recognition five times. He first appeared in the publication in 2018.

This is Real Bird’s fourth recognition, earning the distinction also in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Rasmussen is earning his third consecutive recognition from Best Lawyers.

“My colleagues and I are honored to be included in the 2022 editions of ‘Best Lawyers in America’ and ‘Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch,’ and for our firm to be recognized for its expertise in Native American Law,” Real Bird said. “We share this honor with the high-quality clients we have the privilege to represent, as well as with all of our colleagues here at Native Law Group.”

“Best Lawyers in America” highlights the top 6 percent of attorneys in the United States who have been in private practice for 10 or more years. They are chosen through a comprehensive peer-review evaluation in which nearly 94,000 attorneys are eligible to vote.

Using the same peer-review methodology as “Best Lawyers in America,” “Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch” recognizes associates and other attorneys who are earlier in their careers for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice.

The majority native-owned firm provides a broad range of legal services to Indian tribes, tribal entities, and individual Indians across the United States, prioritizing the sovereignty, jurisdiction, self-sufficiency, and self-governance of the tribes it serves.
