National Native American law firm, Patterson Earnhart Real Bird & Wilson LLP is proud to announce the addition of two new Equity Partners: Jeff Rasmussen and Samantha Skenandore. Long-time partner Jeff has been with Native Law Group since its inception, and he has showcased his unwavering dedication to the Firm and its clients.  Jeff has over a decade of experience providing general representation to tribes; tribal housing authorities; tribal school boards; and other tribal commissions, departments, and tribal businesses.  Today Jeff’s primary focus lies in high-stakes litigation in support of tribal sovereign authority to legislate, adjudicate, regulate, and tax.  This promotion is a direct acknowledgment of his exceptional work throughout the years and his profound leadership skills.

Additionally, Native Law Group is pleased to also announce that Samantha Skenandore has joined the firm as an Equity Partner.  As an enrolled citizen of the Ho-Chunk Nation and of Oneida descent, Samantha is an experienced advocate for tribes across Indian country.  With nearly two decades practicing law and lobbying on Capitol Hill, Samantha has a proven track record of client success involving matters of litigation, gaming, economic development, land back, Indian water rights, fee-to-trust, transportation, SBA 8(a) business development and tribal governance.  After graduating from University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Samantha returned to Wisconsin, which is where she will be conducting work on behalf of the Firm.  As a longtime advocate and activist on the federal and state levels fighting for Indigenous sovereignty and rights, Samantha will be a huge contribution to the firm and its clients which it serves. Samantha will head up the Firm’s new Midwest office in Madison, Wisconsin.

“We are very pleased to have both Jeff and Samantha become Equity Partners,” said partner Alvina Earnhart. “We’re confident that this new development will be greatly beneficial to our clients and our Firm.”
