Patterson Earnhart Real Bird & Wilson LLP is pleased to announce Maurisa Bell as a new associate attorney in its Washington, DC office. Ms. Bell brings valuable experience advocating and representing tribal clients in the nation’s capital.
“We are pleased to have Maurisa join our DC office, “ said Native Law Group partner Rollie Wilson. “Her background and experience in DC will allow us to expand the lobbying and advocacy services that we provide for Indian tribes before Congress and federal agencies.”
Ms. Bell is an enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe and a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law where she focused on Native American Law. During law school, she worked as a Summer Legal Staff Assistant for the National Indian Gaming Commission Office of General Counsel. She also interned at the Office of Tribal Justice within the U.S. Department of Justice.
Before joining Native Law Group, she worked at a large national law firm representing Indian tribes and other entities in DC. She has expereince in government affairs and advocacy, public policy and regulation, trust land acquisitions, and land claims.
